Samsung ML 3560 Printer - Sophisticated Style and Printing

This black and white laser printer, built with clean, smooth, sophisticated lines, is the answer to all your mono printing needs. The Samsung ML 3560 printer produces professional results on a wide variety of media types, using a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi effective output, making it the ideal choice to handle your printing requirements. It is equally suitable for a home or busy office environment.

Any printer will work best when it is used in conjunction with the recommended consumables, and so you will need the Samsung ML 3560 toner to ensure perfect results. Each toner will print 12,000 pages. This is a truly professional class of printer at an economical cost.

The speed at which this Samsung prints is an incredible 33 to 35 pages each minute which means that you will not have to wait around for the printer to finish. For added convenience, you can add the optional duplex print function for clear, double-sided copies; you will save both time and money. The printer will handle different media, from transparencies to envelopes, so it will be able to handle every job you are likely to have.

The ML 3560 has a huge 1100 sheet handling capacity. With the 100 page multi-purpose tray and the 500 page cassette as standard, you can add a second 500 sheet cassette to increase the capacity to 1100 total pages. This will be sufficient paper for your largest job, without the inconvenience of having to stop and refill the paper trays part way through.

The toner is an expensive consumable with laser printers, which is why Samsung have thought to include a one-touch button toner saver feature that gives you slightly paler copies. These toner saver copies are perfect for drafts and documents that don't need to be a professional grade of copy; they are still the clear, clean finish that you would expect from a printer of this caliber.

Reliable, consistent results are assured with a 400 MHz processor and 32 MB of memory. If you need larger memory, it can be increased to 288 MB, making it a printer to cope with the biggest jobs you have. It will operate with both Windows and Linux OS.

Networking options are available within a wireless configuration, so that no added cables are needed to connect to more than one computer. The SyncThru software provides a range of network management tools that allow you to configure and check the status of attached devices and change machine and network settings.

It is possible to upgrade the printer to a 40 GB hard drive, allowing you to collate, store and buffer print jobs and postpone printing of a job to a later programmed time. Reprinted jobs always print a draft copy before continuing with the complete printing.

Electric Beard Shavers Compared to Normal Shavers

There are many different types of razors, shavers, sheers, scissors and cutters for personal grooming. Some are meant to be all purpose units while others specialize in certain types of grooming. One such product is the electric beard shaver. This product is designed for one purpose only and that is taking care of large beards.

Traditional razors can help you keep your face, arms, and legs clean of hair but they cannot handle and actual beard. While the sight of a full sized beard isn't as common as it used to be they are still seen from time to time. People that grow their beards out to full length need special heavy duty tools to take care of them.

Much like the hair on your head a beard will get thicker and tougher as it gets longer. This means that in order to trim, shave, modify, or remove it completely that you need something with heavy duty blades. These tools work on the same basic principles as standard electric razors just with a bit more power and more functions. Their design can be a bit complicated and due to the nature of their work cheaper models aren't very durable.

Modifying or removing a large beard is different from simply shaving your face. When you shave your face you're just dealing with hair that's usually not over an inch long in most cases. When dealing with a beard you have to tackle hair that can be 6 to 18 inches or longer in some instances. This can tangle normal electric razor blades up and store bought disposable razors simply aren't sharp enough to deal with the problem.

Electric beard shavers solve this problem by using steel blades to take care of your beard. While this may sound crude it's not as barbaric as it sounds. These blades are very small and are meant to sheer the beard apart very quickly in order to prevent it from gumming up the motor of the shaver. Once you have your beard at the desired length you simply stop, fine trim it, and style it as you see fit.

When removing a beard completely you will not trim it all the way to your face with an electric beard shaver. If you applied one of these directly to your face the results would not be desirable. Typically you use one of these until your beard is about 1 to 2 inches long and either trim it with scissors or use a standard razor from here. If you do not feel comfortable doing this by yourself there are many barbers and hair specialty shops that will take care of your problem for you.

These are good for people who do not have steady hands or who are simply not comfortable with trimming their beards in such a fashion. There are many brands of electric beard shavers and many of the major electric beard shavers are produced by makers of the best disposable or electric razors.

Electric beard shavers are more powerful and reliable than standard razors but not meant for everyday usage. Whereas a standard razor is designed to handle multiple types of facial and body hair a beard shaver is designed solely to handle beards. Beards are longer, tougher and can generally give standard razors a hard time making the need for these specialty tools a strong one.

RoamEO GPS Pet Locator System Review - Find Your Lost Dog Using GPS Technology

If you are a dog owner and have ever lost your dog for hours or days, you know the panicked feeling you get at that time. I almost jumped for joy when I discovered the RoamEO GPS Dog Locator because it meant that I would never have to experience that feeling of helplessness again. My dog once got out during a storm and was missing for 3 days. I looked everywhere for her, put up flyers, put an ad in the paper, and finally found her across the highway under someone's house. Well, they found her for me. Thankfully!

If I had owned the RoamEO GPS I would have found her within minutes and not days. What a lifesaver it is.

So what is this thing anyway? Basically it is GPS tracking system made just for dogs. The dog wears a collar that comes with the system, and you use the handheld receiver to track your dog's movements. It works up to a 1-mile radius and uses a color LCD screen to show you the exact location of your dog and even how fast he or she is traveling. It updates itself every few seconds so there is no delay in knowing where to find your lost dog.

If you have more than one dog, no worries, as the RoamEO can track up to 3 dogs at the same time as long as each dog has his own collar.

Another great benefit of this product is you can set up a GPS "fence" using coordinates that you establish by walking the perimeter of the area you wish to be fenced. The GPS then commits this area to memory and will alert you if your pet leaves the area. For example, you could go ahead and just walk the perimeter of your property and establish this as your fenced area. The device will store this information in its memory and from then on anytime your dog jumps the fence or digs out under the fence you would know immediately via an alarm. You can always change your boundaries at any time.

Rechargeable batteries are used in both the collar and the GPS device, so you need not purchase batteries. In fact, when you receive your system it's basically ready to go right out of the box. There's no activation fee, no monthly usage fee, no hidden fees at all. Just place your collar on the dog and you're ready to track.

As a dog owner with dogs who escape the fence every now and then, the RoamEO GPS Pet Locator System is a lifesaver. I recommend it to anyone who has the slightest inkling that their dog could possibly wander out of the yard and get lost. I don't think you'll ever regret the money spent.

The Subtle Yet Powerful Braun 790cc Electric Razor

If you're like me, the last thing you want is your skin to announce to the world "I just shaved." No one wants their facial skin to be covered in raw bumps, and the Braun 790cc makes sure this doesn't happen to you.

Braun is able to provide a smooth and comforting shave in its 790cc model due to its patented Gillette technology that lifts each hair, regardless of the direction it may be growing, before it cuts it. This means that every hair on your face will receive a cut, regardless of how tight it is lying against your skin.

And apart from the close shave aspect of this feature, it also means less wrist and jaw contortions. The designers of the 790cc recommend that the shaver be held at a 90 degree angle to assure the smoothest shave possible without a lot of excess razor passes or facial movement to get the job done.

So yes, the 790cc is kind to the skin and efficient in its performance, but what is equally impressive is the fact that you won't be walking around mid-afternoon with "five o'clock shadow" emblazoned on your face. If a crisp look is as important to you for that 4:00 meeting as it was for that 8:00 meeting, then Braun delivers. And if smooth skin is even more important for that 7:30 dinner date, then there's no doubt the 790cc should be your choice - hands down.

Add to this the easy to read LCD display, its corded or cordless feature, and its five minute quick charge capability, and it becomes almost a no brainer. There's little wonder why the 790cc is rated as high as it is when it comes to consumer ratings - it clearly delivers in a gentle yet highly efficient manner. Something few others can achieve.

Anatomy of Mens Electric Shavers

Many men (and several women, too) have gone electric these days when it comes to getting rid of facial hair. By using mens electric shavers, many people have discovered a less hassle-free way to shave safely and to shave much faster than traditional or conventional shaving. Why do electric razors work wonders like they do? The answer lies in the way these electric shavers are designed.

The first important distinction that mens electric shavers have over their traditional counterparts is the use of oscillation. Every electric razor has blades or razors that oscillate or rotate at high speed. These blades, of course, are the ones that cut the hair. The high-speed rotation of the blades is made possible by a small electric motor. This means that electric razors need electricity to operate. Some models run on batteries, both disposable and rechargeable types. Other models require plugging into an electrical outlet as source of power. Some models also combine both battery use and AC line use.

To protect your skin from the fast-rotating blades, an electric shaver has a shield, typically made of metal foil. The metal foil shield has small holes or perforations. When you press your electric razor against your face, your facial hair will poke through the perforations in the shield and come in contact with the rotating blades. That's how your whiskers are cut. The process is pretty much similar to cutting grass with a lawnmower.

Because of this handy design implementation, people who use electric razors hardly experience getting cuts or nicks in the skin when they shave. They also tend to spend less time in shaving. Electric shaving also do not require the use of water, and some people appreciate this because electric shaving can be very handy when one is traveling. A lot of people have also reported not experiencing razor bumps (also known as pseudofolliculitis barbae or ingrown hair) when using electric razors.

Although mens electric shavers could never be as light or as small as traditional razors, their high-speed and efficient operation, as well as their convenience, makes them a favorite among many men and women.

The Braun 8985 - A Fantastic Shaving Razor

If you are in the market for a new razor you should give the Braun 8985 a look. This electric shaver is part of the Braun series five and has won many fans since launch.

Most people use an electric shaver as they are convenient and quick. But often they cause skin irritation and don't always give you the close shave you can achieve with an old fashioned blade and shaving cream. Braun has been developing quality shavers for years now. The 8985 not only gives you a very close precision shave but most testers found it did so without causing irritation. No more complaints from the lady in your life about razor burn.

This Braun foil razor has all the features that you would expect in a quality shaver. It is quiet, holds its charge for a reasonable length of time, gives you a precision shave and doesn't leave you with nicks and cuts. It also doesn't take forever to charge up which is great if you find you need it in a hurry!

Most reviewers also liked the self cleaning option and the fact that it is alcohol based means that your razor is kept lubricated and thus likely to last longer.

The benefit of buying a recognized brand name is the fact that you can deal with English speaking staff and get your problem resolved should one arise. Any electrical product, even those from great manufacturers, can develop a problem. You have the peace of mind of knowing exactly how to contact Braun as well as the fact that they stand behind their warranties. Braun shaver replacement parts are also easy to find so you don't necessarily have to go to the expense of buying a new one.

Choosing the best shaver can be difficult but not when you know where to look and find the best reviews not to mention prices.

Feed Your Skin - The Top Vital Nutrients For a Healthy, Glowing Complexion

Diet is extremely important to skin care. Housewives, as well as those working in the business world, often fall into the trap of skipping lunch or relying on snacks or `processed` sandwiches. Much easier to prepare, and much healthier, would be a hard-boiled egg and a tomato, a piece of cheese and an apple, or a mug of milk and a piece of fruit.

Do not forget to drink plenty of water, it is not fattening and it helps to flush out and clear the system. Many women like to begin the day with a little freshly squeezed or bottled but unsweetened lemon juice. Some beauty therapists suggest adding to this a spoonful of honey if you are spotty; others suggest drinking no less than eight glasses of water per day between meals.

"Your skin is the fingerprint of what is going on inside your body, and all skin conditions, from psoriasis to acne to aging, are the manifestations of your body's internal needs, including its nutritional needs," says Georgiana Donadio, PhD, DC, MSc, founder and director of the National Institute of Whole Health in Boston.

Now that we know how important it is, what nutrients does your skin need the most?

Vitamins C, E, A

Vitamin C is our front line at reducing damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals destroy collagen and elastin - these are fibers that support our skin structure -which in turn directly relates to how youthful our skin looks. Free radicals are caused by over-exposure to the sun, environmental toxins and pollution.  When you combine Vitamin C and Vitamin E, you have an effective defense against sun over-exposure. Foods high in vitamin C include bell peppers (red and green), turnips, kale, parsley, collard greens, guava, and broccoli.

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant which reduces the effect of sun damage on the skin. When you combine Vitamin E  with Vitamin A, E is particularly effective at helping to prevent certain cancers of the skin. Vitamin E is also known to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Oils of Wheat germ, safflower and sunflower, almonds, green spinach, peaches, sunflower seeds, prunes, tomatoes, asparagus, cabbage, and avocados are all excellent food sources of Vitamin E.

Vitamin A supports and assists proper skin repair and maintenance. If you are deficient in Vitamin A, this can result in a dry and flaking complexion. Food sources of Vitamin A include liver (liver is also a major provider of iron), carrots, chili peppers, dandelion, collard greens, apricots, kale, spinach, sweet potatoes, and cantaloupe.

Selenium

Selenium is another antioxidant, but this time a mineral, which is directly responsible for elasticity of tissue. Selenium also helps prevent damage to cells caused by free radicals with the added benefit of being connected to reducing your risk of breast cancer. This amazing mineral may also play a crucial role in skin cancer prevention due to the fact that it can protect your skin from damage caused by excessive ultraviolet light.

Sources of selenium in the diet include wheat germ, seafood (tuna and salmon), fresh garlic, Brazil nuts, rice (brown), eggs, and bread (whole-wheat). Eating onlyt 3-4 Brazil nuts a day will provide adequate selenium intake for most.

Zinc

Zinc is a mineral which is very important to maintaining healthy skin - this is especially true for those suffering with acne as acne itself may be a symptom of a deficiency of zinc. Zinc's effect on the skin includes controlling oil production in the skin as well as helping to control some of the hormones that trigger acne breakouts. Zinc is a crucial mineral for healthy immune function in addition to being necessary for healthy vision, taste and smell. Zinc-rich foods include pumpkin (the seeds), fresh oysters, ginger, eggs, Brazil nuts, oats, and pecans.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Skin which is inflamed, dry or suffers with frequent episodes of acne, blackheads and/or whiteheads can be greatly benefited by an increase in Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) intake - especially the omega-3's. EFAs have a direct impact for the repair of skin, the skin's moisture content and tissue flexibility. Due to the fact our bodies cannot product EFAs, these essential fatty acids must be obtained via diet. Sources of EFAs include include chia seeds, flax seeds and flax seed oil, and, for non-vegetarians, wild-harvested fish oils.

Whenever possible, it is best to get necessary nutrients from whole food sources as these are more pure, complete and many times more effective - without the risk of being harmed by ingesting excessive amounts of a vitamin or mineral. However for many, lifestyle or other circumstances make maintaining a perfectly balanced nutritional diet a near-impossibility. For these, a high-quality vitamin and mineral supplement is suggested.

Please be sure to ask questions and read labels. Also keep in mind that it is highly doubtful you will find a supplement which has what it says it has and does what it is supposed to do on the shelf of a department store or supermarket! The old adage "You get what you pay for" seems to be never so true as it is in the arena of department store health and beauty items.

What Are Pigtails?

There really isn't a huge debate on this subject, but there are some differences of opinion. This article looks at some of the differing opinions related to pigtails hairstyle definition, attempts to find some middle ground (perhaps unsuccessfully), and closes with this author's own definition and description of the ideal pigtails.

A ponytail is when the hair is tied together into a bunch and hanging from the back of the head. Most would agree on that. But if that ponytail is braided, is it still a ponytail? Some say it is, others say that this is called a braid. The same question applies to pigtails, the most common term for the gathering of the hair into twin ponytails (one on either side of the head). Can pigtails be braided and still be called pigtails? Do the terms "braided pigtails" and "unbraided pigtails" make sense? Some argue that "braided pigtails" are just "braids" and not pigtails at all!

The Random House College Dictionary defines "pigtail" as "a braid of hair hanging down the back of the head." Huh? It refers to ONE pigtail hangs down the back of the head, and calls it a braid? Hmm, there's no mention of TWO pigtails at all! Something doesn't seem right here. The dictionary entry for "ponytail" matches the definition I gave above. So what's up with all this? Is the dictionary wrong? Are there multiple dialectal or regional terms for twin ponytails, hence the difficulty for a dictionary to properly address the word's definition? Has the definition been too fluid over time for the dictionary to pin it down? And why doesn't the definition include the phrase "the cutest hairstyle ever?"

The word pigtail is also a wire cabling term that applies to a particular method for terminating an electrical cable's braided shield. (There's that word "braid" again!) Another technical, and even more contemporary, use of the word pigtail is for some sort of wireless accessories for radios or cell phones, or something like that - I haven't completely figured this one out yet.

A few years ago, a survey was done in a college classroom regarding the term pigtails. The students pretty much agreed that pigtails are two ponytails, one on each side of the head, and that they cannot be braided. If they were braided, they were called braids. The class instructor, being of a different generation, had a different definition. He believed that pigtails specifically meant two braids and that two unbraided ponytails should actually be called doggie tails. My personal analysis of this "experiment" is simply this: The instructor must have been elderly, or nearly so, and possibly losing his memory, so who knows what his generation really called "twin ponytails." And doggie tails? There is no way I could ever adapt to using such a term. The word dog, or anything like it, can never be used to describe a woman with the playfulness, boldness, and/or superior self-esteem to wear her hair in pigtails. The students clearly had a much better handle on what pigtails are all about.

So, where does this leave us? There appears to be generational differences and possibly regional or dialectal differences contributing to the debate (if you'd call it that). So, I'll put it this way: Pigtails are two gatherings of hair hanging on the left and right sides of the head. They may be braided or unbraided. But I'll add my preferences here as well, because the way I see it, there's one right kind of pigtail. Pigtails are far more attractive when unbraided. They should be located on the sides of the head, maybe a little behind and above the ears. Pigtails that are too high on the head, too low, or too far around in back, just don't possess the true spirit of pigtails. And pigtails without this true spirit are simply unable to work their undeniable magic on the wearer and those around her.

Different Types Of Aviation Lights

In the aviation industry the measures of collision avoidance are being heavily made use of. High intensity lighting devices increase the visibility of the structure so that any aircraft can pass. Basically these aviation lights are high intensity LED lights that are visible from a distance of miles.

Types of aviation lights: The first type of aviation light was the 'Xenon Discharge Flasher'. It was an impressive white strobe light that slowly got outdated due to growing use of "Red Lamps". Mostly all the countries make use of these red lamps. These are illuminated with powerful LED lights that are low on maintenance but highly reliable. The red lamps LED based have a much longer warranty period and a long life span as compared to Xenon Discharge Flashers.

Low Intensity: Low intensity LED aviation lights are usually maintenance free and quite in demand in smaller cities. They are normally being operated during day time. More energy efficient consuming around 10% less power that the contemporary incandescent bulbs. These solar power based LED lights are of superior quality as they are considered to be eco friendly and much cheaper in cost.

Medium Intensity: The medium intensity aviation light is another sophisticated type that is found installed at high rise buildings. These lights assist in electricity and power saving with their life span of at least 100,000 hours. Generally these advanced LED medium intensity lights are equipped with an inbuilt visual alarm. This helps the maintenance staff to watch over the workings of the light.

Twin aviation warning lights: The twin aviation lights are the best and the most advanced warning light available. These are very safe, reliable, eco friendly and energy efficient. They are installed over high rise buildings, TV towers, transmission line towers, or windmills. Being equipped with solar technology these lights are maintenance free.

Five Advantages Of Norelco Shavers

Norelco shavers and other electric brands offer features that you cannot get with conventional razors. You initial investment may be more. However, you may feel that the benefits outweigh the initial cost. Here are five reasons to own an electric razor.

1. Norelco shavers and other brands are very convenient and simple to use, for men. There is no ritual of washing your face and applying lather. There is no need to wait a few minutes to let the cream soak in.

2. They are easy and convenient for women, also. Shaving your legs can be a long drawn out affair. It involves many different steps. You may be tired and sore from exercise or work. This can make bending over difficult. A quicker shave may be easier on your back and joints.

3. They are safer than normal methods. It is very easy to cut yourself with many types of conventional razors. It is not hard to get a nasty scrape, either. When you shave too close, you may get irritated skin or a rash. This can be very uncomfortable during the day and night.

4. They are easy to take on trips. Many of these shavers are cordless, rechargeable models. You do not need to be near a source of electricity. A man can shave in his car, by looking into the rear view mirror. Perhaps you are on a business trip and are pressed for time. You may need to be at a meeting, soon. A quick shave in the car is better than hurrying and cutting your face.

5. Modern electric razors have come a long ways. In the past, a really close shave is hard to come by. New technology has made the razors of today, very effective. Most people claim that they can get a very good shave, this way. There may no longer be a reason to consider old shaving methods.

Summary

Electric razors of today are far different than yesterday. They offer convenience and ease of use. You can take them with you, when you travel. They are safer than using conventional methods. They can give you a very close shave, too. It may be time to consider one of these modern razors like Norelco shavers.

Women's Shavers

There are a wide range of makes and models of shavers which men can opt for, similarly women are spoilt for choice. The shortage of silk stocking during World War 2 really brought leg shaving to the forefront in women's grooming, women do not like the unshaven look but prefer the smoother, cleaner looking leg. This can be achieved through use of women's shavers.

The difference between men's and women's shavers is that the female version does not need as strong a motor as the male version. Women's leg hair tends to be finer than men's facial hair. All that is required is that it have wide face to cover as much area as possible.

Epilators are another hair removal device that women can use, it is very painful and is like a motorised tweezers that pulls the hair from the skin. The main advantage is that there is no need to shave for another two weeks. It can cause irritation.

There are two types of shavers, the foil type and the rotary. The foil variety makes use of a screw like blade which uses vibrating motor. This blade is cover with a foil which has many holes. As the hair enters a hole it is cut with the vibrating blade. Braun and Remington are good examples of manufacturers of the foil shaver. Rotary shavers can have two or three rotor blades that can lift and cut the hair from the skin, Philips is good example of a manufacture of theses type of shaver.

Electric Shaver Brands - Blasts From the Past

Electric shavers have been around for a very long time. In fact there are enough electric shaver brands from the past to fill a book. Some were top of the line technology at the time and the brand stuck around while others are non existent now.

Action Shave: Action Shave is a brand from way back in the 1940s. It is believed that this electric shaver brand was mainly distributed through mail order although not a lot is known about it or the company that manufactured it. We do know, however, that the main production and distribution center was located in Elgin, IL. It is also believed to have been made of Swiss parts, according to some historians of the area.

Clip Shave: Clip Shave was a product out of Port Chester, NY and is documented to have sold for around $10 in the late 1930's. One distinct feature of this model was the extra long five foot cord it came with and the leather carrying case. Carrying cases were not common on the market at that time.

Packard: No, not the computer. Packard was a brand of electric shaver produced by Lektro Products. Lektro was based in Milford, CT. The first Packard model was introduced in 1935 and was an instant hit. The firm ceased operation in the early 1950's despite the popularity of its many models of electric shavers that were introduced.

Roto-Shaver: The Roto-Shaver was brought to the public by a firm of the same name based in New York City, NY. It was believed to have been the market competition for the Packard brand from 1939 to about 1953.

Vornado: Vornado shavers were from a company called The Two Guys Company and the name Vornado was put on several different products during the time including this electric shaver. This company went bankrupt sometime in the 1970's and should not be confused with Vornado Air Circulation Systems, Inc. They are in no way affiliated.

This is a very small list of past electric shaver brands. A full list would be pages long since many names have come and gone through this market. Many of these brands have very interesting demises while others have stood the test of time and are still around today, even if under a new name. The electric shavers of the past led the way for the products we see on the market today by way of trial and error.

Braun Series 7 790cc Shaver - Review of Why it Shaves Amazingly Close

I have been looking for a shaver that is convenient to use and makes short work of my beard in the morning. I did a bit of research and found that the Braun Series 7 790cc shaver fits what I was looking for. The large amount of information about it on the internet definitely made the research easier. From this research I found that the Braun Series 7 790cc shaver excels at quality, comfort and a close shave.

The reason that the Braun Series 7 790cc shaver gives such a great shave is in the patented technology that it comes with:

First is the blade system. This is a three part system that is able to easily shave the shortest to your longest stubble.
Second is the Power Comb that the Braun 790cc uses. This is able to get those stubborn hairs that lie flat on your face and normally take multiple passes to get. The Braun is able to get them in the first pass.
Third is the foil that the shaver uses. This is able to catch those hairs that like to grow in various directions on your face.
Fourth is the flexing head that is able to hug every contour of your face.
Fifth is that the Braun Series 7 790cc shaver has Pulsonic technology that causes it to vibrate 10,000 times a minute so your hairs lift off your face making them easy to remove.
Like I said I was looking for a shaver that gives a close shave and the Braun Series 7 790cc shaver definitely does this. I found that it cuts my morning growth in one pass. No more multiple passes which end up making your face feel sun burned. It was comfortable to use and pain free.

The Braun Series 7 790cc shaver is now my first choice as a dry shaver. The outstanding shave I get from it has made me a believer that dry shavers work and work great. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Choosing Your Electric Shaver

When it comes to their electric shavers, men are very picky and they take time to research about them before buying one. Their shavers are like best friends they will never be able to part with, as they will accompany them every morning after they will wake up. One great advantage about them is that using one won't require you to use any shaving foam or gel, as you used to do when you were using a razor. They also come with various shaving head lengths which will let you determine how much hair you actually want to shave off.

Compared to regular shaving solutions, when you will be using an electrical shaver, you won't have to worry about getting cut and thus have your skin irritated which can also lead to zits or other infections. Speed is something that's a key feature that will offer you a quick and perfect shave in a few minutes.

If you are looking for the best electric shaver out there, you can check the internet for some electric shaver ratings that will make your decision easier. For that you will just need to start your favorite browser and type in the keywords "best electric shavers" and your eyes will soon meet a long list of providers.

What's best about such a shaver is that it is very easy to use. Most of them come in a cordless version that either use batteries or accumulators. They will last you for a few months, depending on the settings you choose to use for your shaving session. Compared to a razor, you will never have to worry about getting cut or buying some additional foam or gel, which means more money to be spent.

There are shavers that are also water proof, meaning that you will be able to use them underwater as well (regardless of how rare that occasion will be). The difference between a foil electric shaver and a rotary electric shaver is that the first one features a rectangular surface, while the other features round rotating heads. Depending on your needs, you can go either with a corded or a cordless one. People often choose the latter for its flexibility.

Maintenance is also something that most famous companies have taken care of. Thus, Panasonic and Braun, as leading producers have their shavers featured with automatic cleaning methods that involve either pumping liquids on the heads or include a vacuum technology.

Review of the Philips SpeedXL Norelco 8240

Long-time maker of useful electronic products, Philips, also manufacturers mens electric shavers that many people love. One of these is the Philips Norelco 8240, which is part of the Philips 8200 Speed-XL series that they offer. The shavers included in this series are said to offer fast and close quality shaves.

The Philips Speed-XL Norelco 8240 specifically has a lot of good reviews from the people using it. That is why many people tend to purchase it as well and experience the quality shave it gives. Among the very few mens electric shavers having similar features, you may experience a fast end effective shave at the same time with the Norelco 8240 in particular.

It gives its user a close shave, which basically means being able to shave even the shortest stubble of hair and so close to the skin's surface. The Norelco 8240 is able to let you do this, thanks to the dual blade system that can cut below skin level in comfort. Also, it is quiet when in operation. So, you get both safety and silence.

You should remember to keep the 3 shaver heads in close contact with your skin all the while to ensure that you get a fast end efficient shave. With flexible shaver heads, adjusting to every curve found on your face and neck is also another one of the things the Norelco 8240 can do. And take note, it does not give you razor burns.

The shaver heads are ultra thin and have slots to shave long hairs. It has an antibacterial coating inside that ensures that the shaver is rinsed clean in just seconds after its use. Not only that, the shaver's blades sharpen themselves after every use to give the user a clean and close shave all the time.

The life of its battery is long. The Norelco 8240 can hold a charge for several days, thus making it very convenient for travel use. But, the downside to it is that the shaver does not have a battery indicator to warn you if it already has low battery power. Though, the case of the product is reported to be flimsy, and the brush to be used for cleaning is too small for comfort.

Nonetheless, it is recommended by almost all of those who have already tried using it because of the quality of shave it can give. It is easy to use, it cuts through hair fast and close, and it gives you a satisfactory and best shave. Even though its price is a bit high compared to other mens electric shavers, you are ensured that you get the value of what you are paying for through the result that you get after using it.

Women Don't Want to Kiss Grizzlies

Hairy all over? Haven't you heard that hairless is more? Not that you've got to rid all your locks, just your facial hair that can't invite a kiss. You'll get no calls coming.

Yeah Women Adore Hairy Chests, But...

After you draw your business card from your business card case to give to a charming miss, don't attempt to show off your hairy chest. Not all females fall for a carpeted chest. Hirsute admirers are just fine, as long as they have hair in the right places - chest, legs, upper lip, chin, and armpits - or else, your business card will just land in a heap in the dustbin.

You'll know if you've overdone your bohemian looks if your girlfriend/wife or mother complain about your fuzzy face. There's a point in their grumblings. Hairy faces remind them of Neanderthals who roamed the earth thousands of years ago. Wake up! This is the 21st century, and not all females are crazy about furry faces or chests. It's tacky. Instead, be a smooth operator. You won't be running girls around waving your business card case.

Of course, there are exceptions. Keep all your hair if you're an outdoor person; you'll need all that hair to keep safe from all that sun and wind. But if you're a metro guy, please know that fuzzy faces and hairy chests have died a silent death (hurrah for the hairless specimens).

Be a Smooth Operator

In the sex and the city mode, you need to be a smooth operator at all costs so your girl and women in general won't be able to resist to take a covetous second look at you. Don't get manic, though, and shave your armpits and legs, or your girlfriend will start wondering if you strut on the beach white and hairless all over.

Career-wise, it won't do you any good to have that disheveled look paired with a three-day growth of hair, even if you tell them you're growing a beard. Clients and prospective clients judge a man by his looks and his accessories, including his business cards and business card case.

A hairy visage diminishes efforts to achieve a polished look - dress pants, silk ties with tie bars, shiny pocket watches, matching belts and shoes, and a professional looking business card case. A curly David Beckham is adorable, yet he does not have to cultivate facial hair; what is there to see if it's all his hairy glory on the glossies? Do you get the point?

Hairless is More

Grab those shaving gadgets - electric razors (Braun, Norelco, or Remington) that pulsate to lessen the friction on your skin. Or, for a less harrowing neck shave, a Norelco Arcitec will do the job. For those pesky hairs on the nose and ears, get a nose and ear trimmer with blades so sharp it does the job of removing these unwanted hair perfectly.

If you want a body job, a Remington body groomer should be considered. No more painful nicks on your tender flesh this time. With a smooth look, you'll be getting all the approval from the opposite sex and from your clients. You wouldn't be wasting your time with your business card case this time. Plus, you'll get all the kisses - you're grizzly no more.

Forrest Gump's Red Violin

It was a dark and stormy night. A feeble old man's hands shivered with excited anticipation as he carved away the last curled shaving from the ancient piece of maple.

"Magnifique!" he exclaimed at his masterpiece as he caressed it like a mother with a newborn child. He kissed the smooth wood then gently hung it from a wire attached to a gold-gilded chandelier. The shapely object swayed gently above the master's head. Flickering candlelight danced with the ox-hair brush as the violin received its first of more than twenty fine coats of hot oil varnish.

The violin was completed and labeled at the poignant stroke of midnight on the start of the year 1912 in Lyon, France. The year would later be known for other historic events such as the establishment of the Republic of China, the discovery of the South Pole, and more notably, the addition of prizes to Cracker Jack boxes. All these events are shadowed by the creation of a violin that would someday find its way to me.

My violin's rust-brown varnish had just finished curing when it was wrapped in fine silk and sent away in a wooden case. Due to highway congestion and no available carrier pigeons, French aviator Henri Seimet was asked to deliver the violin and made the first non-stop airplane flight from Paris to London in three hours.

The violin's first owner was the great-grandson of legendary violinist Nicolò Paganini who suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The violin's astonishing tone helped auditioners overlook the player's affliction and earned the him a gig with an 8-man band on a cruise ship. The Atlantic voyage was uneventful, unless you consider that last bit when the "Titanic" stuck an ice shelf and sank.

The violin's last tune with the band that night was a jolly rendition of"Roll Out the Barrel" before it was laid to rest in the coffin case, its owner saying a final goodbye. The ship went down in a fury of bubbles and miraculously the case came up out of the vessel with an infant sleeping peacefully on top. When the rescue ships arrived several hours later, infant Eva Braun and violin were in the care of another survivor on a nearby lifeboat: Margaret "Molly" Brown.

Eva was reunited with her family and would grow up to make poor decisions in politics and boyfriends. The violin, however, belonged to no one and was donated to a music society as a tax write-off. Joe Dawson, an eccentric race car driver, purchased the violin (also for tax reasons, though historians dispute this fact) and won the first Indianapolis 500 race with the violin in the trunk for good luck.

Soon afterwards Dawson lost his bet with Woodrow Wilson that the latter would not win the Presidential election; the winner took the violin. Wilson gave the violin to former ice hockey teammate Igor Stravinsky, who composed many of his best works using the violin. A year later, in 1913, the premiere of "The Rite of Spring" was poorly received and fights broke out in the audience. Stravinsky himself was so upset due to its reception that he fled the theater in mid-scene, leaving the violin behind in his haste.

Historians believe this is when my violin received extensive damage to the lower bout at the end-pin. The facts that follow are fuzzy due to poor documentation, but it is believed the violin was discovered in the theatre rubble and taken to a medicine man in Cuba who repaired the violin with guar gum and papyrus extracts. The dear violin spent the next forty-nine years passed from village virtuoso to virtuoso, who played for dignitaries, millionaires and other ridiculous people.

This happy holiday in the violin's life ended in 1962 when one village violinist, fearing the worst of the Cuban Missile Crisis, hid the violin in a fall-out shelter behind 200-cans of extra-juicy pork and beans. In 2005 the canned food's expiration date came and as the cans were being disposed of the violin was discovered again.

A compulsive gambler who worked with the fallout shelter's janitorial service stole the violin and put the violin up for auction on Ebay. It was won by my cousin's dog groomer's babysitter's nephew for 50 pesos. I heard there was a violin in the family and traded the guy an old lawnmower (he needed the wheels for a go-cart) for the violin, which is now safely in my possession and care.

Over this past year I have pondered over the mysterious label inside the violin, "Lyon 1912," and the spider-like cracks on the bottom that seem to be so expertly repaired using methods unknown to local luthiers. Hence I took it upon myself to extensively research the history of my violin and learned what little I could about the violin's history, which I have presented here truthfully to you.

Strangely, the people I've shared my flawless findings with have been disappointed as they're only marginally glamourous or mysterious. Sometimes the truth is pretty boring. I wish it could be more than that.

So now when people ask for stories about my violin's past, I lie and say my violin was discovered in Elvis' dead grasp in a Vegas hotel bathroom. That'll keep them interested.

Why Do People Want to Be Tan?

Over the past 2 decades, indoor tanning beds have become a huge phenomenon in the United States. Many people feel very strongly about the positive effects of tanning. Why is it that Americans want to be tanned?

In some other places, it is preferred to be pale. This is because fair skin is associated with youthfulness. As a matter of fact, in some Asian countries women go to great lengths to lighten their skin as much as possible. Over time, your skin gets darker because you are exposed to more sunlight, but when you are young your skin is fairer.

This is the opposite in the United States. Indoor tanning is very popular even though there are known risks. SO why it that tanned skin is is so important to Americans?

There are many people who happen to find a lot of benefits to using home tanning beds. There are those who strive to be dark, sun-kissed, or tinted all the time - not just in the summertime when it is more natural to look that way.

There are some interesting ideas as to why being tan is considered attractive. Tanning can even out your skin and hide blemishes. This makes your skin appear healthier. Additionally, many people feel like tanned skin makes them appear thinner than when they have pale skin.

A lot of people who tan, both indoors and out, report significant improvements in their complexion. This is because some acne and breakouts are caused by oily skin, and the UV rays dry the skin. Additionally, some people with psoriasis and eczema see improvements after tanning.

I also believe that tanning causes a subconscious effect on some people. Physical attraction is a biological response to people. The innate purpose of physical attraction is to mate and reproduce. People are naturally attracted to people that appear to be healthy because they have a better chance to reproduce. Tanning makes you look like you are active and outdoors, which is a sign of good health. Obviously there are other reasons why people are attracted to others besides just physical looks though.

It takes a lot less time to tan in a tanning bed than it does in the sun. So it can be much more convenient to tan indoors than outdoors. Additionally, if you rely on lying out in the sun you are at the mercy of the sun's schedule and the weather. It is even more convenient to tan indoors if you have a home tanning bed.

As you can see, there many benefits to tanning and many benefits to indoor tanning. However, there are of course known risks. It is important to compare the risks and benefits to see what is best for you.

The Benefits of Clip-on Hair Extensions

We all need a change every now and then. From our clothes to the music we listen to, a little bit of variety is great sometimes. So, why should we have the same hairstyle day in and day out? With hair extensions, we can look and feel like a new person -- any time we want to.

Regular hair extensions must be weaved, braided, sewed, or glued -- that's more of a commitment than some people are willing to make. What's more, it can be quite expensive. If you want a little hair variety without the time or financial commitment, consider a clip-on hair extension.

Clip-on hair extensions are a temporary way to change your look, either for fun and style or as a test drive for "real" hair extensions. Some clip-on hair extensions are small sections of hair attached to metal clips, much like barrettes. This type of clip-on hair extension is not meant to be used alone and you will need at least three or four of them. You simply clip the extension wherever you need added volume or body. Then the hair can be styled as usual. These hair extensions can be either synthetic or natural.

Another type of clip-on hair extension is already pre-styled and used as created. A popular style for this type is the ponytail. These extensions are widely available at department stores, beauty supply stores and some grocery stores. They are generally synthetic and low-cost with a short lifespan.

Though experts say the clip-on hair extensions are easy to work with, you can have a hairdresser apply them if you prefer.

Shaving Tips That Work!

If you are one of the thousands of men out there that do not really know how to shave the right way, the following tips and advice might help you to get a closer, smoother, and less bloody shave without the unwanted side effects like razor bumps, ingrown hair, or razor burns.

Pre-Shaving Tips & Techniques

In order to prevent skin irritations that often come with shaving like razor bumps and burns or ingrown hairs, you should soften the hair before shaving for about two to three minutes before you actually start shaving. One of the best ways is to wet the hair with a hot towel for about 15 seconds before shaving. Another possibility is to shave after you took a shower. Always use a good razor blade that is sharp and wet.

In addition to that, we recommend using a good shaving cream or gel.
Shaving gels are important, not only in treating or preventing razor bumps, ingrown hairs and razor burns, but also because a good shaving gel will help to minimize the friction associated with shaving and moisturize your skin. While your skin is still wet, apply a shaving gel and wait a minute or two - then you can start shaving.

Shaving Direction & Skin Position

If your skin is likely to develop razor bumps, burns or ingrown hairs, you should try shaving with the grain, not against it. Shaving against the grain may get you a closer shave, but this can also cause razor bumps and other skin irritations. If you shave in the same direction your hair grows, your skin is less likely to become irritated. The objective is to angle the razor at 90 degrees. This shaving technique cuts the hair in an effortless fashion nipping the hairs at the grain and not against it. Shaving in the same direction, will also result in less pull on the hairs and less tendency to cut them too short. Hairs cut too short are at risk of curling into the skin causing razor bumps and ingrown hairs.

Avoid going over and over the same area as this may result in hairs cut too short and painful skin irritations. It is best to shave with just enough overlap to avoid skipping areas. Also long strokes should be avoided. Instead, use short strokes to avoid razor bumps and friction resulting in other skin inflammations. Shave with the skin in a neutral and relaxed position - don't stretch your skin too tight, as this may result in hairs being shaved below the resting surface of the skin, increasing the risk of ingrown hairs.

After-Shaving Tips

After shaving, apply an oil-free moisturizer that soothes and protects your face. If you prefer after-shave products, make sure you check the label for alcohol: dryness and stinging sensations are often side affects of most after-shave items with alcohol being their primary ingredient. Alcohol-based after-shaves are often another cause for irritating the skin if the alcohol level is too high.

Mentholated shaving products should be avoided as well. Although the cooling sensation feels good on the face once applied, menthol, just like alcohol, can be very irritating to the skin.

Electric Shavers and Epilators

Some of the most used products of today's society are cosmetics and beauty products. Health and beauty, that's what describes this generation the best, and some of the most used products are shavers. When it comes to man it's an older tradition, we used to save our beards long time ago. But ladies... There tradition of shaving legs and other body parts is not as young as people think. They started shaving their body parts a long, long time ago. It just so happened that this trend has rose up in the last few decades. And now we all have electric shavers to help us in our little endeavor to look nice.

Electric shavers are quite popular now, and they have been for the past two decades. The reason for that is the comfort they provide, and now with the technology advancing we have electric shavers that give us the same results as regular razor blades. They are easy to use and they come with a lot of different features like trimmers, shapers and some other very handy options. Most of them are cordless and they have a battery just like a cell phone so you can charge them and take them anywhere you want. Unlike regular razor blades they come with a long lasting warranty, plus in the long run they end up saving you money. Regular razors require change of blades on a regular basis and in the period of 3 months that may end up costing you the same as a new electric shaver. So they have all we need, we just have to choose which one. And that may be a little difficult since there are so many of them. But they all provide the same options so in the end if you buy a Braun or Philips it won't matter.

As far as ladies epilators go lots of men have the wrong idea. We automatically assume that epilators are like our electric shavers. Meaning they save the hair. Wrong, they don't shave the hair; they pull it out from the roots. Which makes their beauty treatment very painful, although they are mostly used to it and don't pay much attention I bet if a man tried to use an epilator he would start crying. Yeah we can be such babies. If you don't believe me, try it. But don't run back crying to me, don't say I didn't warn you. Women go through a lot of pain in their beauty treatment and that's mostly because of us. But fortunately for them they now have epilators that send mild electric shocks to the surface of the skin making the pain go away. Basically what that does is numb the skin, so you don't feel a thing when your hairs are being pulled out. Technology has advanced.

So any man out there, who is reading this, be careful when you are around a woman when she is shaving her legs, and whatever you do don't disrespect them at that moment, it may cost you your life.

Norelco Shaver Parts - How to Resurrect Your Philips Shaver

There is nothing worse than a shaver which doesn't really seem to suit you, hence once you have found a shaver which works for you it is hard to replace it.

Often with the wide selection of parts now available you can prolong the life of your shaver substantially. The parts of shavers are not interchangeable, so it is important to make sure that you get the correct part.

The manufacturers name is not enough, before you start looking make sure that you know the range of your shaver.

Which Philips Norelco Shaver Parts are available?

If you have never previously invested in Norelco shaver parts then you will be in for a pleasant surprise. It is recommended that shaver heads are replaced every twelve months.

Also if you have started to get any shaver rash, this may be due to the old heads and blades. Before you write off your shaver look at the list below and see if you get your shaver back to 'just bought' efficiency at minimal cost.

Philips Norelco Spectra

This parts pack contains three cutters and three combs; it will fit all the Norelco Spectra range only.

What Is Hypertrichosis? Human Werewolf Syndrome Explained

There are many conditions that happen to individuals, explained and unexplained. In hypertrichosis, you will find a wide range of probably answers but not all of them will be the answers you are looking for. The best relief from conditions like these is to seek the advice of your doctor.

Hypertrichosis is a medical condition that causes excessive growth of hair in areas where hair does not normally grow. It may be present over the entire body, or you could have it in only one or more areas. Some individuals will be born with the condition and others will develop it later on in life.

Congenital Hypertrichosis is very rare. In fact, it is so rare that there have been only 50 verified cases since the Middle Ages. It occurs because of a flaw during pregnancy. A fetus is covered with lanugo which is a very fine layer of hair that falls off during the eighth month. In these cases, it does not fall off but continues to grow. In a serve case known as Congenital Hypertrichosis Terminalis, the hair becomes colored as well and remains there after birth.

Another variation of Congenital Hypertrichosis is called Naevoid Hypertrichosis. Here, the individuals will have excessive hair growth in only one area of the body.

Acquired Hypertrichosis

Acquired Hypertrichosis occurs after birth at any point. The symptoms may include unpigmented vellus hair or pigmented terminal hair. The excessive hair may cover the entire body, or it could be localized to one area.

What Causes It: Hypertrichosis?

Although there are no for sure answers to that question, many believe the condition to be a genetic disorder. It can be considered inherited or has been known to just happen due to the mutation of genes. Some are cancer related which occurs after individuals have cancer. Some individuals believe that it can be caused by drugs or metabolic disorders as well.

Treatments For Hypertrichosis

The best treatments available include:

Shaving regularly

Depilatories which are hair removal creams can also be used as long as the skin is free from cuts or open sores. Check for allergic reactions before use.

Bleaching products can help to lessen the look of these hairs but make sure to check for chemical reactions.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal techniques may also be helpful. Here, a laser will actually kill the follicle stopping it from being able to grow hair. Some at home kids are effective, but professional service is the best.

Hypertrichosis is a condition that really does not have a cure so to speak. Hair removal techniques can help though. Although the best treatments are those that are the most costly, they are likely to provide the most satisfaction here.

Gillette Mach 3 - A Brief Review

The Gillette Mach 3 razor was created several years back with the idea in mind of giving men a closer and smoother shave.

No sooner than this razor was on the store shelves, men from all over the world started using it because of the amazing results that they would get after shaving.

Its excellent performance was approved simply because of the quality of the blades, which are really sharp. The sharper the blades, the better the results will be.

Another positive thing about the Mach 3 razor is that because of the quality of the blades and the durability, the razor lasts a lot longer than other leading brand razors, which means people will save more money.

With the Mach 3 razor there is no need to press firmly against the skin, risking getting cut by the razor; barely touching the skin will give you the best shave possible. The grip on the handle of this razor also makes it a lot easier to hold it without it slipping from your hands during the shaving process.

Because of the great success of marketing the Gillette Mach 3, there have been several other versions of the Gillette Mach 3 created, but people still prefer to use the Gillette Mach 3 over the others. Other newer versions of the Gillette Mach 3 aren't necessarily better because they are the new version.

Pros of the Mach 3:

Has Sharp Blades
Great handle for an easier shave
Easier to clean than other razors

Cons of the Mach 3:

Costs more money that other brands (well worth it though)

Keep in mind that you get what you pay for, and a razor that does not require very much effort to get the best shave is well worth the money. You can easily see the positive results that you will be getting from using the Mach 3 Gillette razor. The fact that there are three blades instead of two or one makes it very attractive to the buyer. You honestly cannot go wrong with choosing to purchase the Mach 3 Gillette razor.

Choosing the Right Aftershave

A good morning shave routine with your men's electric shavers is never complete without your favorite aftershave. Aftershaves that are ready for use are sold in the market. Among the hundreds of kinds and brands of aftershaves, do you know which one you should pick?

Aftershaves usually come in gel tubes, spray cans, or bottles. There are also formulas that you can make yourself. It helps keep your face feel fresh, smooth and clean after removing the unwanted hair on it with your conventional razor blade or with the use of high-power men's electric shavers.

Your aftershave also protects your skin. Since pores are opened by the warm water used during shaving, the aftershave closes them so that pollutants cannot enter and won't clog your pores. It also disinfects your shaved face. Some aftershaves contain moisturizer. This gives back the moisture lost from using soap for shaving.

When choosing the right aftershave for you, go back to the purposes listed above for a guide. The very important role it must accomplish is protecting your face. Shaving makes it susceptible to infections since there might be cuts from the razor and your pores are opened. There are two options for you---an alcohol-based aftershave or a cream-based aftershave.

The alcohol base is an effective disinfectant. It will give you a sting and burning sensation for a moment. If you need to fully awaken yourself, then you need this. The cream base is lighter. It is much like putting lotion on your face.

An aftershave also serves as cologne. It is less fancy and fragrant than a perfume, but it has the same effect of freshness that will last for one whole busy and exhausting day.

Your next task is to choose the scent. It must suite your preference. Make sure that the scent you choose is also appropriate for the place or event you are going to, the people you will be meeting, and the things you will be doing. Everything must match perfectly. You can use a subtle, leather-feel smell aftershave if you will be meeting the executives. When on a gig with friends, you can use a more refreshing, breezy and walking-on-the-beach scent perhaps. You might also want to consider your body chemistry. Different people have their different natural odors, so make sure that your aftershave compliments that natural scent. With this you can wear your aftershave proudly and confidently.

Splashing on some aftershave is one of the things you should remember doing after using men's electric shavers or your regular razors. Not only will it disinfect and moisturize your face skin but will also make you smell more pleasant and fresh.

At Home Hair Removal: Techniques To Use Part Two

There are some more at home options for hair removal that you should consider. You will find these to provide you with a good quality finish. To choose, look at your conditions as well as your preferences.

Waxing: A Small Pain Goes A Long Way

Waxing is an effective method of hair removal that will last several weeks. You can purchase at home kits to help you to do it. You'll apply a thin coating of wax, allow it to dry and then rip it away. Yes, it hurts a bit but that is only going to last a second. And, you'll be able to take advantage of the hair free beauty for a while afterwards.

Bleaching: Hide It

While you will not be actually removing hair, you will be able to hide it carefully. Bleaching is a chemical reaction which will remove the color from the hair allowing it to blend in with your skin. You can purchase bleaching products for the hair above your lip or in other areas as well. Make sure to follow the directions of the product that you use. It is also important to note that tanned skin can cause bleached hair to stand out.

Abrasives: A Little Elbow Grease

If you have fine hair, then abrasives can be the right method for you to remove hair. You will use an abrasive stone, pumice mostly. By rubbing the stone to the skin in a circular motion, you will lightly remove the hair without damaging your skin. Although you'll see some redness afterwards, it will likely go away quickly. And, the results of abrasives will last up to three weeks.

Electrolysis: The Home Version

There are several home electrolysis products that you can purchase. Careful purchasing can lead to the best results. While these products promise permanent hair removal, they are hard to use and do not always provide this. They are not as effective as professional services, but far less costly. You'll want a blunt needed version. This will get placed inside the follicle. Products called Electric Tweezers do not work nearly as well. You'll need to make sure that the hair is in a growing cycle and follow the directions provided carefully. A small area of at a time should be attempted. It will take you a long while and it will not be as pain free as you may think.

Hair removal can happen at home. There are many methods and ways that you can effectively get rid of unwanted hair that is throughout the areas of your body that you do not want it to be. While there are many options, it is completely up to you, your preferences and your budget to determine which the right one to go with is.

At Home Hair Removal Products That Work - Laser, Cream, Wax, Razor - Which One?

Do you want a smooth, hairless face and body but don't want to spend a fortune in salon treatments? You name them, I've tried them so here's my review of the best DIY depilation products you can use at home.

A RAZOR

The most basic, simplest, cheapest and arguably easiest at home hair removal product. Razors are also close to being pain free. You are probably thinking razors are old-fashioned and outdated but in a test of electric shavers and epilators by ConsumerReports.org, manual razors beat them all. Women's razors have become technical marvels these days. Some have vibrating heads, in-built lotion dispensers and more blades than a Zorro re-make.

Gillette's Venus Divine Razor came top in test of nine women's razors by Which? Magazine. The Gillette Divine has three blades with three lubricating strips and it is easy to hold.

Gillette's newest razor, Venus Embrace is a little more expensive but has five blades. It feels like a marketing gimmick and means the replacement blades are more pricey, but it also gives a smooth and close shave.

There isn't that much difference between a woman and men's razor aside except for styling and gimmicks. Women's razors tend to have a longer handle to make it easier to shave the legs. The downside of using a razor is that your hair will grow back quicker than by using other methods, the hair grows back thicker and more spiky and you can get rough reddish follicles immediately after you shave. And there is the risk of little nicks and cuts.

DEPILATORY CREAM

Depilatories chemically dissolve the hair. They used to smell like a chemical factory and dry out your skin. Like a razor, they are simple, cheap and easy. On the downside, hair removal creams may cause skin sensitivity so make sure you test a small patch of skin first and never leave the cream on for longer than the instructions state. Avon's Skin So Soft Fresh & Smooth Facial Hair Removal Cream and Veet's 3 Minute In Shower Hair Removal Cream always do well in customer reviews in Amazon and similar websites. I personally would pick depilatory cream over a razor as the effect is a lot smoother and you don't get those red bumps.

HAIR REMOVING WAX

Your hair takes longer to grow back with waxing than with razors or creams as you have ripped out the hair from the root. I don't like using wax for hair removal because of the pain involved and because of the extra effort you have to put into heating them up. And you are sometimes left with sticky bits of wax on your body. But it is effective. Gigi Honee Combo #1 Economy Warmer is a popular model because it is very similar to the ones used in professional salons.

HAIR REMOVING SUGAR

Sugar is similar to wax but they are usually made of natural ingredients such as sugar, lemon juice and essential oils. You might not be as susceptible to allergies with sugar over wax, though of course you still need to test a small patch of your skin. I prefer sugar over wax because if you can't handle the pain anymore, you can usually rinse sugar off, but with wax, once you've started, you really have to keep going. But for the brave, the effects of wax is marginally better. Moom have several sugar-based hair removers which are organic and 100% natural.

EPILATORS

An epilator is an electrical device that grasps several hairs at once and tugs them out. The effects are as good as waxing but as it is a little painful (like a mini pinch) you probably won't use it for highly sensitive areas. Braun and Panasonic both have great wet/dry epilators which means you can use them in the bath. Not my favorite hair removal product, I would still plump for cream over epilators and wax.

AT-HOME LASER

I have saved the best for last if you are willing to shell out a few hundred dollars for the equipment. IPL (intense pulse light) convert light energy to heat energy to remove unwanted hair. There is a risk of skin burning and it is not comfortable (think of a mini-elf slapping you hard and quick each time you 'zap') but the effects are long lasting. Some claim that IPL removes hair permanently but in my experience you still get hair growth but it is not as thick or dense. For me, this is worth the slight pain.

Braun Series 7 790cc Shaver - Is it the Best Shaver? Find Out Now

There are basically two types of electric shavers: foil and rotary. The one most closely like a straight razor as far as closeness is concerned are the foil shavers, like the Braun Series 7 790cc shaver. However they do have problems with longer hairs. The rotary shavers on the other hand do well with longer hairs and difficult ares like the chin and neck but don't cut as close.

Neither the foil or the rotary shavers shave as close as a manual razor. Of course the downside of a manual razor is that it is removing the top layer of your skin which means your face is wounded. They also tend to create nicks and cuts. So in order to have healthy skin you should be using a foil or rotary shaver. That said let's take a look at the two.

A poll was conducted and a slight majority of men preferred the foil shaver over the rotary since it was less irritating to the skin. The downside of the foil is that it is more delicate and is easier to break. Rotary shavers are sturdier so tougher to break but they are also more difficult to clean. Testers at Which? found that their isn't a whole lot of difference of the two types of shavers. But a review by Australia's Choice magazine found that the foil shavers are preferred overall. The foil shaver that tops this list is the Braun Series 7 790cc shaver.

One thing you might not be thinking about is the noise a shaver makes. After all the first thing in the morning it might be a bit annoying to have to listen to a loud shaver. The rotary shavers are generally quieter than foil shavers. In particular the Philips Norelco shavers are well insulated, if not high-pitched. An exception to this is the Braun Series 7 790cc shaver which has a low noise level.

The experts say you should look at four things:

Rather than getting an inexpensive generic model, get a quality brand with fewer features.
A shaver should feel comfortable in your hand and not overly vibrate or be noisy.
Get a model with a 30 day money-back guarantee since that is how long it will take your face to get used to the shaver.
Get a model that has a quick charge and a long charge life.

Take a look at my review of the Braun Series 7 790cc and I think you will find that it meets these requirements easily, which is probably why it is the top rated shaver on the market today.

Types and Treatment For Alopecia

Men, women and children are experiencing hair loss at an alarming rate. Alopecia is defined as loss of hair or baldness. This type of hair loss has a terrible effect on the emotional well being on many of those suffering from it.

Alopecia is not only hair loss on the scalp but can occur on any part of the body. People sometimes experience alopecia on the eyebrows, genital area and beard. Alopecia can affect people so badly that they often develop depression or severe anxiety.

Androgenetic alopecia affects young men in their teenage to young adult years of life. This type of balding is different in that the hair around the temples and sides of the head grows thinner. Females can also acquire androgenetic alopecia. Their hair loss is more likely to occur on the crown of the head, front or sides.

Scarring alopecia is a more serious kind of disorder. When this happens the hair follicle is actually destroyed and replaced with scar tissue. The hair loss is permanent. Scarring alopecia can be tricky and not show any symptoms. Other times there is pain and itching as the hair thins out. This type of hair loss is often trademarked by scaling of the skin and redness.

All of the above disorders cause permanent loss of the hair. There are other less serious disorders that cause only temporary hair loss. Alopecia areata causes hair loss in tiny circular areas. This disorder affects all areas with hair on them just like the androgenetic alopecia does.

Telogen effluvium happens suddenly as the normal growth of the hair is temporarily interrupted. A person will likely notice there is a problem when they wash or comb their hair.

Traction alopecia is mostly experienced by women who wear certain hairstyles that are worn over and over. Braids, cornrows, ponytails and buns are some of the hairstyles that can cause this to occur. The pulling on the hair follicle is what causes it to occur. Some of the symptoms of traction alopecia are random bald spots, itchiness, hair breakage and a red scalp.

Approximately 50% of people who suffer from alopecia are expected to grow their hair back within a year. For those that are not this lucky there are many ways to treat alopecia.

Corticosteroids are often given orally, applied directly to the skin or injected. They tend to work pretty well but not without some serious side effects. Phototherapy is another popular way to treat alopecia. It is usually used to treat various skin disorders but also helps stimulate hair growth. More serious cases of alopecia often resort to surgery to try and cover up the bald areas.

Golf Short Game Help

These few golf tips that I am going to share with you are meant to benefit your golf game that takes place within 150 yards. At almost every golf course there are practice areas. These practice areas are usually meant for shots that are 100 yards or shorter. Sometimes they have the various distances marked off, but if they don't it is still important that you learn which irons to play and when. Practice with the irons and you will know about how far each one will send the ball with respect to your swing.

Golf is not different from other sports in that practice makes perfect. In order to improve your golf game from shorter distances, you need to find instruction on that particular topic. It is a known fact that close to 70% of the shots you take in a round of golf are from 150 yards or closer. Shouldn't you practice these shots more often? Don't always pull out your drive when you go to practice. You need to take sufficient time perfecting your short game. This is where you will shave off strokes from your score.

As with anything, you need to make time for practice. Set aside a part of each day or even every other day to practice your short game. This will help you with consistency.

Now here are the short game tips:

In your grip, don't grip the club too hard. In instances where you don't need to hit the ball that far, use a gentle grip on the club. The short game is all about touch, and a softer grip will help your touch. You don't always have to hit the ball as hard as you can. Golf is a gentleman's sport, take your time and be gentle with the club in your short game

Work on the the mechanics of your short game swing. Make sure you have the right mechanics for your chip shots, lob shots, and putting game. Also, you will need to practice hitting your irons numerous times to develop the proper mechanics.

There are many other tips out there for your short game. Check them all out. As with anything else in golf, consistency in your short game is crucial. Practice until it becomes second nature.

Keep golfing!

How To Get Rid Of Pubic Hair - Waxing Or Sugaring

Believe it or not, there is no set way to determine if you should look into pubic hair removal. The ultimate decision is up to you and many individuals see this in a different light. Some individuals find that just trimming the hair is enough while others are looking for the Brazilian wax where all hair is removed. How should it be done? What is the right way to go about it?

Should You Wax?

Most individuals find that the most successful and the most beneficial type of hair removal for the pubic area is through waxing. It is safe, although it can be somewhat painful. But, it is also inexpensive and lasts a good while, so it is by far the most chosen method of hair removal.

Although waxing is not a permanent solution, it can help to keep hair at bay for several weeks at a time. The hair is removed directly from the shaft, which means that the follicle is not necessary damaged and will re-grow hair. On a positive note, many individuals find that the hair that does grow back is not as coarse or as dark. And, in some cases, people find that the hair is also less with each procedure. This is due to the damage that can be caused to the follicle during the procedure. If the follicle is damaged and cannot grow hair, you get a more permanent solution.

Getting The Hair Removed

There are many reasons why you should look into waxing. First, you can do this yourself if you like. There are several at home kits that you can use. If you would like to, you can also look into having a professional do the work for you as well. While it will cost more, you'll get a better result and you won't have to do the work yourself. Also, when you wax the pubic hair, you can control how much and what shape you want to wax in.

When purchasing products to use for waxing, make sure that the products you purchase can be used in this area of the body as some products will not be sensitive enough for it.

Sugaring

Have you heard of sugaring? The technique is much the same as waxing but instead of using the wax, a sugar based mixture is used. It is organic and it is much easier to clean up. It has been used for centuries. The paste, made out of honey and lemon is applied to the skin allowed to harden and then pulled off. The hairs will stick to the sugary paste and will come right out.

For most individuals, waxing is the method of choice for the removal of hair in the pubic region. It is safe when the right products are used and it is a solution that will last a long while. Another benefit is that it is much less expensive than the use of electrolysis or that of lasers. If you are considering this hair removal process, look for high quality products to use.
