Are Wet / Dry Electric Shavers the Best Electric Shavers?

Electric shavers are one of the revolutionary shavers that have made shaving quite a breeze, instead of a daunting morning chore. They come in so many different varieties, brands, shapes and sizes. Most popular brands are Panasonic, Philips, Braun and Remington. These are the kind that can be used when they are dry as well as wet when in shower. They enhance your morning shaving experience by adding convenience to your morning shaving rituals.

Manual razors can leave skin irritated and the shave is not that smooth whereas wet / dry shaving systems provide a very smooth and close shave without leaving the skin irritated. These can be used in the shower combined with your favorite shaving cream. Wet / Dry shaving systems are water safe so there is no damage caused by water, so they are safe to be used in water.

Panasonic ES8109S Vortex Wet / Dry Shaving System is one such shaver that not only provides close shave but also shaves the hard to reach places on your face with its triple blade design, pivotal head and independently floating foils.

Another cool feature is that they are easy to clean and maintain, which can otherwise be a time consuming task. Shavers that come with Hydraclean feature quickly and effectively clean your razor within few seconds.

Embedded linear motor provides close to 12000 rotations per minute making it a powerful and fast shaving system.

Panasonic ES8109S Vortex and other similar shavers are powered by rechargeable battery that allows close to 14 shaves when fully charged. Make sure to keep it fully charged to operate it properly, otherwise if you run out of battery and can't find the outlet easily, you may have hard time charging it again.

Braun Electric Shavers Beating All Electric Shavers As the Best

Electric shavers always have some limitation and cannot replace disposable flashy blades for the good job. This was my conclusion on any electric shaver after using some of the best name in the market. Being a heavy bearded man I cannot rely on electric shaver for a clean shave as it would always miss some hair to capture.

Believe me I would have never purchased another electric shaver but I got this Braun electric shaver as a least surprise gift. And since then everything has changed about my concept on electric shaver. Finally, this Braun shaver lives up to the hype as the best ever to date.

The Technology and USP

For the first time Braun is using Gillette technology for its cutter block and foil. Though Braun and Gillette are subsidiary of Proctor and Gamble they use their own respective technology until with this series 5, 360° Complete. This may or may not be the reason but the performance of Braun 8985 is incredible. This technology captures more hair easily and two passes is good enough to give a clean shave.

Another reason to credit for its high end performance and consistency is the technology of clean and renew system. This Braun shaver comes with a cleaning station that clean and renew the shaver's head with alcohol based cleaning solution and oil for lubrication. After going through the clean and renew system cleansing your shaver's performance is back to 100% and also gives fresh lemon scent.

Unlike some electric shaver you can almost be rest assured that you don't get irritation or rashes on your skin unless there are other reasons. You get a very smooth experience of shaving.

The shaver use LED lights indicator to display various information and status. Some models like the 8995 uses LCD and display more information. You also get information for parts replacement, meaning information on when to change certain parts. You can reset the button once you replaced the parts.

Maintenance

The cutter block and foil needs to be replaced after every 18 months to get back to new like performance. I am sure this will depend on your usage and may last longer. Some said it last for more than 2 years. I am yet to experience that.

I won't say maintenance is cheap. You need to buy clean and renew refills which cost $15.73 for 3 packs at the time of writing this article. You need around 5-6 packs of refills for a year supply.

Since this is an alcohol based cleaning solution it evaporates fast and will continue to evaporate even if you don't use. To avoid this you can remove the cartridge from the station and reseal the cap whenever not in use.

Price - Best Buy

I suppose, the advantages and the unique features to deliver quality performance does not come for free. However, considering the quality and performance, the product is a definite bargain. The I suppose, the advantages and the unique features to deliver quality performance does not come for free. However, considering the quality and performance, the product is a definite bargain. The best buy available online is $139.99. I would advice to check online competitive prices rather than paying full price to local retailers.

Best Way to Use Mens Electric Shavers

Only a few selected men are gifted with the exceptional talent of manual dexterity. For these men, tasks that require hand, finger, and wrist movements are accomplished safely and gracefully. This includes shaving. The rest of the male population, however, are not as gifted. Thus, when they shave their facial hair, they run into cuts, nicks, and abrasions from time to time.

In most cases, this occurs because of a lack of hand control. At times, it is caused by using blades or razors that are no longer sharp or that are not ergonomically designed. Those who use mens electric shavers, however, tend to say that regardless of whether they have manual dexterity or not, they experience less cuts, nicks, and abrasions. Some do not experience these at all.

Mens electric shavers are not known to cause accidental cuts or abrasions on the skin, especially if they are properly used. Unlike conventional methods of shaving (such as wet shaving) and traditional razors, electric razors are very safe to use. They are also quick acting.

However, just as in any other method of shaving, electric razors still can open pores and irritate the skin surface a little bit. This is most likely to happen if the blade cuts the hair so close to the skin, especially if no lubrication is used. Earlier models of electric razors do not require the use of lather or lubricating products. Many recent models, however, are capable of operation together with lather or lubrication.

To remedy the minor irritation and/or abrasion, many men use aftershave. The recommended aftershave is one that has antiseptic properties and moisturizing properties. Good aftershave must contain an antiseptic agent, such as ethyl or isopropyl alcohol, to prevent infectious organisms from entering through the skin cuts or abrasions. Although moisturizing ingredients can be considered optional, a good aftershave often includes them, as they help in keeping the skin soft after shaving. Scent or fragrance is optional in an aftershave, too, although men usually prefer aftershave that has scent to make their skin smell pleasant after shaving.

Thus, aftershave and mens electric shavers are good partners. Those are basically the only two important things you need to shave your facial hair safely and effectively.

Braun Electric Shavers Top 3 Benefits

The modern Braun electric shavers are very well ergonomically designed and you can therefore shave yourself in about 30 seconds. Also the technology used means that the chance of cutting yourself is very low. Braun have been making these electric shavers for a long time and the research they have done in perfecting their design is very impressive and clearly shows in the products they make.

Braun electric shavers do have a lot of competition from other brands such as Gillette. My main 3 reasons for this product range being successful are written below:

1. I have been using these shavers for many years and one thing that stood out is that the chance of cutting yourself is very low. This is very helpful of course because when you plan to have a day out and the unexpected happens it can be very annoying.

2. The fact that this manufacturer produces and sells their stock in bulk it means that the consumer can enjoy low prices. So you can get a very good deal when you buy these shavers. Also the wide reach that Braun means that you can buy these anywhere, probably the closest shopping mall will have them in stock.

3. The durability of the products is also worth a note. On average their lifetime is around 4 years which is really good value for money. The battery life is also long but since you get a charger and rechargeable batteries this is never really an issue in my experience.

On Electronic Shavers and Shaving Accessories Sites

In terms of shaving, there are various ways to remove hair from different areas of the body. In the past, most men practiced the art of shaving through the use of sharp stones and through the use of water. As the centuries progress, men were able to adapt to new types and forms of shaving such as the use of knives and razors. After such an age, the electric shavers were born as well as the use of some creams and pastes to instantly remove the hair. Today, shavers are not only used by men but women who also have a problem with hair. Men can now rely on shaving creams with all sorts of scents, after shavers that would create a perfect tone on the face as well as different kinds of shavers. There are shavers which are designed to have a twin and even triple razors so that no hair would be left on the face. Most of them are usually seen in electric shavers ratings and various product sites on the net.

There are also shavers which has the pad so that the face would not be scratched or lacerated. From flexible ones to longer lasting ones, you can select the type of shaver that would fit your character and style. There are also shavers for women which are not only delicate in cutting hair but they also have the colorful body that distinguishes them from male shavers. However, the mechanical shavers are nothing compared to electric shavers. Electric shavers are effective in any types of facial and body hair. Some electric shavers are portable and battery operated. You can practically bring them anywhere and in any type of occasion. There are electric shavers that disperse certain chemicals as well as water so that the face would not become itchy after shaving. There are also electric shavers that have a sturdy wire. Such types of electric razors can withstand a very far length without affecting the wires. For those who are looking for the different features in shavers, there are various electric shavers ratings websites that not only offer the features when it comes to shavers but also the prices and ratings.

The ratings given in most sites were provided by men who have already tried and tested such products. They have rated the shavers according to their taste and their experience with various shavers. Since electronic shavers are somewhat expensive, it is better to get an opinion from other men first before engaging in buying one. Most sites that have shaver ratings also have ratings from various products and accessories that men can buy together with the shaver, for instance, the types of cologne which can be used for aftershaves or the creams which are great for the face. There are also sites that offer advices in acquiring the best types of shavers, where to find them and the best brands in the shaving industry. If you are planning to acquire an electronic shaver then an electric shavers ratings site would be the best place to start.

A Short History on Shavers Or Razors

Women and men have shaved their hair for thousands of years. Scientists believe that the first shavers or razors were made in 30,000 B.C and were made from flint and that shaving was part of some kind of ritual, body modification and body art. For many primitive tribes, it was considered a form of status symbol and wealth. In 3000BC, there were advancements in metallurgy in countries like Egypt, India and Greece. Because of these advancements, they were able to make permanent and reusable razors. The straight edged razor was not invented until the late 1700's by Benjamin Huntsman. It is a razor that can fold into its own handle like a jack knife but without the spring. This kind of shaver is still used today in most barber shops around the world because it is said that it can give the closest shave compared to other razors. However, very few people use it for personal use because of safety reasons. In the 1800's, the first safety razor was invented. It was a stick shaver that had a blade that can be fitted into a razor guard.

In 1895, King Camp Gillette an idea flashed through his mind about a razor that is safe, inexpensive and had a disposable blade. With the help of William Nickerson, he was able to realize his invention in 1904 and started selling them as the Gillette Safety Razor. During the First World War, Gillette struck a deal with the government to equip soldiers with razors and blades which totaled 3.5 million razors and 32 million blades.

Col. Jacob Schick invented and patented the first electric razor in 1928 and was further developed by a bigger company. Prof. Alexander Horowitz, another important inventor from Philips Laboratories based in the Netherlands, invented the revolving electric razor. The razor that he invented had a shaving head of cutters that cut off hair at the skin level. This new type of razor did not caught until it was feature in a movie in the late 30's.

During the 1950's many companies started selling cheap wholly disposable razors. In the 1970's, razors with disposable cartridges came out. They have twin blades that can cut closer to the skin. Then the three-bladed cartridges came out and just recently, the four bladed cartridges.

In the early years of the electric shaver, it had to be plugged into an electric outlet and can only be used as a dry shaver. Today, most electric shavers are cordless because they have built in rechargeable batteries. Some can be used with shaving creams and even some can be used while taking a shower.

Which Among Men's Electric Shavers Match You?

Electric shavers are a man's best friend. Early mornings will never be the same without them. But getting the best one to suit your shaving needs may need a little bit more attention than you think it does. Shavers have different shapes, sizes and even features. It can be a little overwhelming to sort through all the different types on the market. In order to pick the right one for you, there are a few things you should consider before buying an electric shaver.

• Your type of facial hair. You should consider the type of hair on your face before buying just any shaver. There are two types of electric razors; a foil and a rotary type. The foil type of shaver has one to a couple of heads that are composed of blades that oscillate behind a perforated screen. This type is more effective for short hair growths and for softer or thinner hair. The rotary electric shaver design is made up of three to four heads that is composed of cutter that spin behind a screen. This type can trim course and thick facial hair with ease.

• Your type of skin. The foil type of electric shaver is better with sensitive skin than the rotary type. The foil type also provides a closer shave than the rotary. To pick which shaver shaves the closest, look at the razor foils. The thinner the razor foil is, the closer your electric razor will shave.

• The power supply. Men's electric shavers may either be powered by disposable batteries, rechargeable batteries or by alternating current from your normal power outlet. If your bathroom mirror is nowhere near a power outlet then you may want to get a battery operated shaver. You may also want to get a rechargeable shaver just as long as you can keep track of its charging time. You wouldn't want your batteries dying out in the middle of a shave in the morning.

• The price. The price is always a concern when buying something that you want to last you a long time. If you are going to compare electric shavers to simple disposable razors then you will be surprised with the difference. However, you will be able to use this gadget for a long period of time most especially if you know how to take care of it.

Shaver brands like Panasonic, Braun and Phillips are one of the top few that assure you of the quality and the performance that you are getting. You can canvas for features and details about men's electric shavers on the internet before buying one. You may find a lower priced product if you buy online so explore online shops as well for your purchase.

Electric Beard Shavers Compared to Normal Shavers

There are many different types of razors, shavers, sheers, scissors and cutters for personal grooming. Some are meant to be all purpose units while others specialize in certain types of grooming. One such product is the electric beard shaver. This product is designed for one purpose only and that is taking care of large beards.

Traditional razors can help you keep your face, arms, and legs clean of hair but they cannot handle and actual beard. While the sight of a full sized beard isn't as common as it used to be they are still seen from time to time. People that grow their beards out to full length need special heavy duty tools to take care of them.

Much like the hair on your head a beard will get thicker and tougher as it gets longer. This means that in order to trim, shave, modify, or remove it completely that you need something with heavy duty blades. These tools work on the same basic principles as standard electric razors just with a bit more power and more functions. Their design can be a bit complicated and due to the nature of their work cheaper models aren't very durable.

Modifying or removing a large beard is different from simply shaving your face. When you shave your face you're just dealing with hair that's usually not over an inch long in most cases. When dealing with a beard you have to tackle hair that can be 6 to 18 inches or longer in some instances. This can tangle normal electric razor blades up and store bought disposable razors simply aren't sharp enough to deal with the problem.

Electric beard shavers solve this problem by using steel blades to take care of your beard. While this may sound crude it's not as barbaric as it sounds. These blades are very small and are meant to sheer the beard apart very quickly in order to prevent it from gumming up the motor of the shaver. Once you have your beard at the desired length you simply stop, fine trim it, and style it as you see fit.

When removing a beard completely you will not trim it all the way to your face with an electric beard shaver. If you applied one of these directly to your face the results would not be desirable. Typically you use one of these until your beard is about 1 to 2 inches long and either trim it with scissors or use a standard razor from here. If you do not feel comfortable doing this by yourself there are many barbers and hair specialty shops that will take care of your problem for you.

These are good for people who do not have steady hands or who are simply not comfortable with trimming their beards in such a fashion. There are many brands of electric beard shavers and many of the major electric beard shavers are produced by makers of the best disposable or electric razors.

Electric beard shavers are more powerful and reliable than standard razors but not meant for everyday usage. Whereas a standard razor is designed to handle multiple types of facial and body hair a beard shaver is designed solely to handle beards. Beards are longer, tougher and can generally give standard razors a hard time making the need for these specialty tools a strong one.

Anatomy of Mens Electric Shavers

Many men (and several women, too) have gone electric these days when it comes to getting rid of facial hair. By using mens electric shavers, many people have discovered a less hassle-free way to shave safely and to shave much faster than traditional or conventional shaving. Why do electric razors work wonders like they do? The answer lies in the way these electric shavers are designed.

The first important distinction that mens electric shavers have over their traditional counterparts is the use of oscillation. Every electric razor has blades or razors that oscillate or rotate at high speed. These blades, of course, are the ones that cut the hair. The high-speed rotation of the blades is made possible by a small electric motor. This means that electric razors need electricity to operate. Some models run on batteries, both disposable and rechargeable types. Other models require plugging into an electrical outlet as source of power. Some models also combine both battery use and AC line use.

To protect your skin from the fast-rotating blades, an electric shaver has a shield, typically made of metal foil. The metal foil shield has small holes or perforations. When you press your electric razor against your face, your facial hair will poke through the perforations in the shield and come in contact with the rotating blades. That's how your whiskers are cut. The process is pretty much similar to cutting grass with a lawnmower.

Because of this handy design implementation, people who use electric razors hardly experience getting cuts or nicks in the skin when they shave. They also tend to spend less time in shaving. Electric shaving also do not require the use of water, and some people appreciate this because electric shaving can be very handy when one is traveling. A lot of people have also reported not experiencing razor bumps (also known as pseudofolliculitis barbae or ingrown hair) when using electric razors.

Although mens electric shavers could never be as light or as small as traditional razors, their high-speed and efficient operation, as well as their convenience, makes them a favorite among many men and women.

Five Advantages Of Norelco Shavers

Norelco shavers and other electric brands offer features that you cannot get with conventional razors. You initial investment may be more. However, you may feel that the benefits outweigh the initial cost. Here are five reasons to own an electric razor.

1. Norelco shavers and other brands are very convenient and simple to use, for men. There is no ritual of washing your face and applying lather. There is no need to wait a few minutes to let the cream soak in.

2. They are easy and convenient for women, also. Shaving your legs can be a long drawn out affair. It involves many different steps. You may be tired and sore from exercise or work. This can make bending over difficult. A quicker shave may be easier on your back and joints.

3. They are safer than normal methods. It is very easy to cut yourself with many types of conventional razors. It is not hard to get a nasty scrape, either. When you shave too close, you may get irritated skin or a rash. This can be very uncomfortable during the day and night.

4. They are easy to take on trips. Many of these shavers are cordless, rechargeable models. You do not need to be near a source of electricity. A man can shave in his car, by looking into the rear view mirror. Perhaps you are on a business trip and are pressed for time. You may need to be at a meeting, soon. A quick shave in the car is better than hurrying and cutting your face.

5. Modern electric razors have come a long ways. In the past, a really close shave is hard to come by. New technology has made the razors of today, very effective. Most people claim that they can get a very good shave, this way. There may no longer be a reason to consider old shaving methods.

Summary

Electric razors of today are far different than yesterday. They offer convenience and ease of use. You can take them with you, when you travel. They are safer than using conventional methods. They can give you a very close shave, too. It may be time to consider one of these modern razors like Norelco shavers.

Women's Shavers

There are a wide range of makes and models of shavers which men can opt for, similarly women are spoilt for choice. The shortage of silk stocking during World War 2 really brought leg shaving to the forefront in women's grooming, women do not like the unshaven look but prefer the smoother, cleaner looking leg. This can be achieved through use of women's shavers.

The difference between men's and women's shavers is that the female version does not need as strong a motor as the male version. Women's leg hair tends to be finer than men's facial hair. All that is required is that it have wide face to cover as much area as possible.

Epilators are another hair removal device that women can use, it is very painful and is like a motorised tweezers that pulls the hair from the skin. The main advantage is that there is no need to shave for another two weeks. It can cause irritation.

There are two types of shavers, the foil type and the rotary. The foil variety makes use of a screw like blade which uses vibrating motor. This blade is cover with a foil which has many holes. As the hair enters a hole it is cut with the vibrating blade. Braun and Remington are good examples of manufacturers of the foil shaver. Rotary shavers can have two or three rotor blades that can lift and cut the hair from the skin, Philips is good example of a manufacture of theses type of shaver.

Electric Shavers and Epilators

Some of the most used products of today's society are cosmetics and beauty products. Health and beauty, that's what describes this generation the best, and some of the most used products are shavers. When it comes to man it's an older tradition, we used to save our beards long time ago. But ladies... There tradition of shaving legs and other body parts is not as young as people think. They started shaving their body parts a long, long time ago. It just so happened that this trend has rose up in the last few decades. And now we all have electric shavers to help us in our little endeavor to look nice.

Electric shavers are quite popular now, and they have been for the past two decades. The reason for that is the comfort they provide, and now with the technology advancing we have electric shavers that give us the same results as regular razor blades. They are easy to use and they come with a lot of different features like trimmers, shapers and some other very handy options. Most of them are cordless and they have a battery just like a cell phone so you can charge them and take them anywhere you want. Unlike regular razor blades they come with a long lasting warranty, plus in the long run they end up saving you money. Regular razors require change of blades on a regular basis and in the period of 3 months that may end up costing you the same as a new electric shaver. So they have all we need, we just have to choose which one. And that may be a little difficult since there are so many of them. But they all provide the same options so in the end if you buy a Braun or Philips it won't matter.

As far as ladies epilators go lots of men have the wrong idea. We automatically assume that epilators are like our electric shavers. Meaning they save the hair. Wrong, they don't shave the hair; they pull it out from the roots. Which makes their beauty treatment very painful, although they are mostly used to it and don't pay much attention I bet if a man tried to use an epilator he would start crying. Yeah we can be such babies. If you don't believe me, try it. But don't run back crying to me, don't say I didn't warn you. Women go through a lot of pain in their beauty treatment and that's mostly because of us. But fortunately for them they now have epilators that send mild electric shocks to the surface of the skin making the pain go away. Basically what that does is numb the skin, so you don't feel a thing when your hairs are being pulled out. Technology has advanced.

So any man out there, who is reading this, be careful when you are around a woman when she is shaving her legs, and whatever you do don't disrespect them at that moment, it may cost you your life.

Electric Shavers Reviews - The Best Electric Shaver

I was very hesitant to buy a new electric shaver because of its flaw for clean shaving. My perception was that there can be no electric shaver that can give a clean shave like the old disposable razor from Gillette Mach. Guess what? I was right. I have some electric shaver, the best name in the market, but they all turn out to be just the hype with the same old defect. This is also especially true to me because I am heavily bearded.

I was headstrong and writing an electric shaver reviews was the most unlikely thing to had happened. A Braun 8995 Complete 360° that I received as a gift was all it takes to change my opinion and I need to write this review to advocate for the performance and quality of the best electric shaver to date.

First of all, Braun 8995 live up to the hype and there is no flaw of a common electric shaver. Braun for the first time uses Gillette blade technology with their cutter block and foil and it does work perfectly which now captures more hair with every shave. After shaving I no longer get the sandpaper feeling on my face when I run my fingers. With other electric shaver I need to use a trimmer or disposable blade for this experience.

Braun 8995 comes with a cleaning station that clean and renew the shaver's head whenever required. After cleaning with the solution the performance of the shaver is enhanced to the like of a new one. This alcohol based solution also releases a fresh lemon scent after cleaning and contain lubricating oil for the cutter block. You need to buy the refill cartridge for this cleaning solution but its well worth it.

The cutter block and foil will last for at least 18 months before you need to replace it. Again, this will vary depending on your usage and may as well last for more than 24 months.

Apart from the cleaning station and refill cartridges what are included in the shaver's pack are the hard case, protective cap, power supply cable plug and a cleaning brush.

The price of the best electric shaver is very reasonable and justify to what it can do and the overall durability of the shaver. The best buy available online as of today is $139.99 as compared to $299.00 a few weeks ago at Amazon market place. This is one good bargain that don't come along often is all I can say about the price.

With its use, shaving becomes easier for men who shave to satisfy their highly acclaimed manliness. In this process of shaving, one does not require foams or water in order to have a clean shave. All that is required is some form of electricity, which could be either batteries or mains power. The most important reason why people have started to accept the electric shaver is that it eliminates all chances of getting cuts while shaving. There are special covers that help to avoid cuts during shaving.

These shavers enable people to shave extremely close to the hair growths due to the presence of integrating slots and ultra thin heads. In case there is a power failure while shaving, the user need not have to worry as the battery gives tremendous support. The power storage system of the device is great as it enables storage of emergency power in the battery. The user so can make use of this gadget even while the electric supply ceases.

All that a user has to do is to charge the battery to get a reasonably good shaving time with the machine. The electric shavers saves a lot of time and makes the process of saving much safer.

While buying an electric shaver, one has to notice certain things. The most important of all them is that this device should have a battery indicator whereby it is possible for the people to manage their shaving properly. There should also be a combination of cleaning and charging stand. This gives the user the right opportunity to keep the shaver clean. How to Clean Braun Electric Shavers

So, you've bought yourself a new Braun electric shaver - you know, the brand with the Big A in the middle of the name - or maybe you've just been given one; and you're wondering how you clean it. Well, if you have a model with the Clean & Renew cleaning system, you merely push a button and it not only cleans and dries your shaver but recharges it automatically. That's pretty neat!

If you don't have one of those Braun electric shavers, don't despair. Almost every one of them can be rinsed quickly under running hot water, or even with a little liquid soap to improve the cleaning effect.

Incidentally, you should also drip a drop of oil on the cutter block every now and then.

When you remove the cutter head, it's easy to clean that block with the brush and then you should turn on the electric shaver for a few seconds. Braun says to never use the brush to clean the cutter foil.

Then, there's the cleaning spray. The spray helps clean Braun electric shavers thoroughly, taking away sebum. After spraying both cutter parts, the soaked residues are easy to remove.

One and a half years later, your Braun electric shaver has shaved as many hairs as there are blades of grass on a soccer field! So, it's probably a good time to replace the cutter parts to get back to brand-new performance! The cutter foil and block operate like the separate parts of a pair of scissors, so they inevitably wear out after so much high performance.

Men's Electric Shavers

The market for men's electric shavers has continued to grow over recent years and buyers are now faced with a bewildering array of models to choose from. In this article I'm going to take a look at the recent advancements in shavers for men and give you a guide as to what to look for when making your own buying decision.

It seems that shaving razors are becoming more high tech and consequently more expensive with each passing year, I'm sure we've all see the numerous television Ads for them. To my mind it just makes more sense to invest in an electric shaver and enjoy all the convenience that goes along with them.

For one they are a lot cleaner to use as you're essentially performing a dry shave so there's no shaving foam, hot water or towels required. Secondly the blades are incredibly sharp however it's very difficult to cut yourself due to the inbuilt protection all men's electric shavers now carry.

The most advanced models come with something called a cleaning or charging base. It's a dock for your shaver which will clean away your shaving debris, lubricate the blades and charge the shaver simultaneously. This ensures that your shaver is always maintained at its optimum performance level. No more pesky cleaning brushes and solutions to worry about!

In the past the main argument against shavers was that they were unable to compare with the closeness of shave achieved by a manual razor. Although this is still true to some extent the gap has narrowed very significantly. If you haven't used one in a while you might be surprised at just how close men's electric shavers are now able to cut to the skin for that perfect morning shave.
