Choosing Your Electric Shaver

When it comes to their electric shavers, men are very picky and they take time to research about them before buying one. Their shavers are like best friends they will never be able to part with, as they will accompany them every morning after they will wake up. One great advantage about them is that using one won't require you to use any shaving foam or gel, as you used to do when you were using a razor. They also come with various shaving head lengths which will let you determine how much hair you actually want to shave off.

Compared to regular shaving solutions, when you will be using an electrical shaver, you won't have to worry about getting cut and thus have your skin irritated which can also lead to zits or other infections. Speed is something that's a key feature that will offer you a quick and perfect shave in a few minutes.

If you are looking for the best electric shaver out there, you can check the internet for some electric shaver ratings that will make your decision easier. For that you will just need to start your favorite browser and type in the keywords "best electric shavers" and your eyes will soon meet a long list of providers.

What's best about such a shaver is that it is very easy to use. Most of them come in a cordless version that either use batteries or accumulators. They will last you for a few months, depending on the settings you choose to use for your shaving session. Compared to a razor, you will never have to worry about getting cut or buying some additional foam or gel, which means more money to be spent.

There are shavers that are also water proof, meaning that you will be able to use them underwater as well (regardless of how rare that occasion will be). The difference between a foil electric shaver and a rotary electric shaver is that the first one features a rectangular surface, while the other features round rotating heads. Depending on your needs, you can go either with a corded or a cordless one. People often choose the latter for its flexibility.

Maintenance is also something that most famous companies have taken care of. Thus, Panasonic and Braun, as leading producers have their shavers featured with automatic cleaning methods that involve either pumping liquids on the heads or include a vacuum technology.

Choosing the Right Aftershave

A good morning shave routine with your men's electric shavers is never complete without your favorite aftershave. Aftershaves that are ready for use are sold in the market. Among the hundreds of kinds and brands of aftershaves, do you know which one you should pick?

Aftershaves usually come in gel tubes, spray cans, or bottles. There are also formulas that you can make yourself. It helps keep your face feel fresh, smooth and clean after removing the unwanted hair on it with your conventional razor blade or with the use of high-power men's electric shavers.

Your aftershave also protects your skin. Since pores are opened by the warm water used during shaving, the aftershave closes them so that pollutants cannot enter and won't clog your pores. It also disinfects your shaved face. Some aftershaves contain moisturizer. This gives back the moisture lost from using soap for shaving.

When choosing the right aftershave for you, go back to the purposes listed above for a guide. The very important role it must accomplish is protecting your face. Shaving makes it susceptible to infections since there might be cuts from the razor and your pores are opened. There are two options for you---an alcohol-based aftershave or a cream-based aftershave.

The alcohol base is an effective disinfectant. It will give you a sting and burning sensation for a moment. If you need to fully awaken yourself, then you need this. The cream base is lighter. It is much like putting lotion on your face.

An aftershave also serves as cologne. It is less fancy and fragrant than a perfume, but it has the same effect of freshness that will last for one whole busy and exhausting day.

Your next task is to choose the scent. It must suite your preference. Make sure that the scent you choose is also appropriate for the place or event you are going to, the people you will be meeting, and the things you will be doing. Everything must match perfectly. You can use a subtle, leather-feel smell aftershave if you will be meeting the executives. When on a gig with friends, you can use a more refreshing, breezy and walking-on-the-beach scent perhaps. You might also want to consider your body chemistry. Different people have their different natural odors, so make sure that your aftershave compliments that natural scent. With this you can wear your aftershave proudly and confidently.

Splashing on some aftershave is one of the things you should remember doing after using men's electric shavers or your regular razors. Not only will it disinfect and moisturize your face skin but will also make you smell more pleasant and fresh.

What You Should Know When Choosing Digital Video Camcorders

Owning one of the many digital video camcorders offers a person the luxury of being high tech without even trying. These are great devices that can help a person store their memories because they are lightweight and fairly simple to use. Before a person purchases a video recorder of the digital type, they should understand all of their options and know how to go about choosing the best one to fit their needs.

Digital video camcorders come in a variety of styles for each consumer. Individuals can choose to have digital recorders that record on tape, DVD, or to the hard drive that is located inside the camcorder. The digital camcorder that is most popular and most reasonably priced is the one that uses the Mini DV tape.

These run for approximately three hundred dollars and are the easiest to operate for those who are not interested in editing or dealing with an array of functions. However, the other types are great to own and eventually, just as with Beta tapes, the world of camcorders will no longer operate using tapes.

When people are considering a digital recorder over an analog type, the main advantage is that the digital camcorders allow for hooking up to a computer to store, transfer and even edit film. Compared to analog camcorders, the digital camcorder does not lose quality of picture or sound when transferring data.

However, if a person is going from digital to VHS tape, then some quality loss should be expected, but it will be very minimal. Since the world of today is so computer focused, individuals should definitely consider purchasing a digital camcorder over the analog ones. The long term results will far outweigh the short term gain.

Digital video camcorders can offer the consumer so much more than their predecessors ever thought of doing. A person can transfer a video to someone who is living four thousand miles away with just a click of a button.

This allows for long distance families to stay close no matter how many miles separates them. A person must do their homework if they are going to get the most for their money when comes to owing a digital camcorder.

The Best Electric Razor - Choosing Features Or Price

With so many different products, and so many different preferences, it can be hard to pick the best electric razor. Someone somewhere is going to disagree. There just isn't a clear winner. The reason it's hard to label an electric razor as being the best, is because there are many factors that we need to consider. These include, but are not limited to features and price.

First, let's look at features. There are three electric shavers that are worth mentioning here:

Braun Series 7- 790cc Pulsonic Shaver
Panasonic ES8249K Arc IV Nano Vortex
Philips Norelco arcitec 1090 Men's Shaving System

Each of these three razors are worthy of the top spot in terms of shaver features. The Braun Pulsonic Shaver is very high tech. It produces micro-vibrations that help lift hairs off your face for easy cutting. The blade technology reduces any tugging or pulling on the hairs, and with one switch of the button you can get your shaver cleaned and ready for next time. Panasonic shavers are great if you want to have a wet shave with an electric razor. This is one feature that differentiates this brand from the others. If shaving in the shower is something you want to consider, this shave is for you. This razor also packs a very powerful motor, along with extremely sharp blades. The angle on the blades is one of the smallest on the market, making shaving a thick beard relatively easy.

The Norelco Arcitec has one of the most high tech designs. Not only does it look really cool, it gives a very close shave. If you like rotary shavers, than a Philips Norelco is the brand you want. This shaver has a very unique design. The shaver is known for being able to hug the contours of your face, producing a very close shave. Also, Norelco shavers come with a 60 day back guarantee which is a nice bonus.

If you want a complete shaving system and features are more important to you than price, one of these shavers should do the trick.

Secondly, let's tackle price. In terms of price, we'll consider value for money. In order to pick the best shaver based on value for money, let's pick the cheapest shaver with the most positive consumer reviews... As you can see, there is definitely not an exact science in picking the best electric razor. At least not in how we're doing things here.

So, the razor with lots of positive consumer reviews, and with a very low price tag is the Braun PocketGo P-70 Men's Shaver. It has produced many happy customers, and currently retails for 20$. Based on value for money, this shaver is certainly one of the top candidates. It is really designed as a traveling razor. It runs of double A batteries which means you can take it anywhere. People use it when they travel, at the office, or in the car. It's very handy and gives a relatively close shave considering the price tag. It might not suit you for everyday shaving, but if you want to keep clean while on the go, it's highly recommended.

DJ Mixers - 4 Key Points to Choosing a DJ Mixer

DJ Equipment can make or break a DJ. Without great equipment, a DJ can be limited. With so many choices out there, you may be wondering how to choose a DJ Mixer. Asking yourself four simple questions will narrow down your search for the perfect mixer.

1. How much are you willing to spend?

This can of course greatly narrow your search. DJ Mixers nowadays can start from $79 and go up to thousands of dollars. Keep in mind lower priced mixers may be lower quality, so it may be advantageous to save up for a higher priced mixer. Personally I would recommend putting aside at least $175 for a decent quality mixer.

2. What platform or platforms are you using?

Are you using turntables, CD players, a laptop, an iPod or all of the above? Answering this question will help you choose how many channels you need on your mixer. A two-channel mixer has 2 phono and 2 line inputs. Phono inputs are for turntables and line inputs are for digital platforms. In this case you can connect 2 turntables and 2 CD players or a laptop or iPod with either turntables or CD players. The two-channel mixer will allow you to play any 2 inputs at one time, but not more than two.

If you would like to play more than two inputs at one time, or if you'd prefer to have your other media on different channels, you'll need more channels on the mixer. Two and four channel mixers are widely available. Three and five channel mixers are less common.

3. What type of music are you playing and how will you be playing it?

In the world of mixers, you have ones that are more geared toward mixing (usually house and electronic) and ones that are geared towards scratching (usually hip hop). Hip hop DJs usually prefer 2 channel mixers with scratching capabilities. On the other hand electronic DJs are usually more focused on mixing and possibly effects. Which brings me to the next question...

4. What kind of extras are you looking for?

There are all sorts of extra features you can get on a DJ mixer. Here is a short list of some of the options available today.

Crossfader Options

Hamster (crossfader option used for scratching)
Crossfader shape and cut adjustments
Magnetic crossfaders
Assignable crossfader (to assign the channels to either side of the crossfader)

Effects

Wide range of different effects
Mic effects
Sampling
Loops
Tap effects sync (a tap button that syncs your effects to the beat)
Effects send for outboard effects
Touch screen effects
Assignable effects

Other Features

Midi Control
iPod dock/input
BPM counter
USB
Multiple outputs- Record/Booth/Master
Full kills (to fully cut off low, mids, or highs)
Advanced cueing features
Rotary knobs instead of faders
Mic talk-over

There are many more features available on DJ mixers and will be more as technology advances. Choosing what is important to you will narrow your search for a DJ Mixer. As you can see there are a lot of different options when choosing your DJ Mixer. Answering these 4 questions will help you narrow your search for the DJ Mixer that is right for you.
