Four Reasons to Switch to a Norelco Electric Shaver

Now may be the time to switch to the Norelco electric razor If you're still using those chintzy plastic disposable safety razors. Here are the top four reasons to switch to an electric shaver from your crummy old disposables.

4- Razor burn

It's possible to get razor burn from any shaving tool if it's been awhile or you don't use a nice moisturizing foam, but by and large, electric shavers tend to be much kinder to your skin as you're not going to be dragging a chunk of cold aluminum across your face. As long as you rinse the shaving head out after each use and maintain it properly, you'll get a smooth shave with no sting each time.

3- Cost

A Norelco shaver is a little pricier up front than a bag of disposable safety razors, but consider for a moment how many of those little bags of disposables you buy in a year. It adds up. While an electric shaver is a little pricier up front, you can expect a well maintained electric to last for years down the line. So long as you clean it out every morning and replace the heads when they need replacing, you'll be making a sound investment.

2- Convenience

They will never invent a disposable plastic safety razor that is as quick and convenient to shave with as a good Norelco electric shaver. You don't even need foam, just moisten your face and do a once over and you've got a nice clean shave in minutes flat. This is especially appreciated by us late risers. You know who you are, jumping out of bed ten minutes before you need to be at work, taking a two minute shower and praying you don't get a speeding ticket. You can throw an electric shaver in your car and do your shaving in the bathroom at work. Imagine bringing a whole shaving kit, though.

1- Nicks and scrapes

You'd have to be some sort of magician to cut yourself with an electric shaver, because they're just not built to be capable of nicking and scraping your skin. With a disposable plastic safety razor, it's all too easy to cut yourself. Maybe you're just in too much of a hurry that morning and haven't had your coffee. Maybe your wife shaved her legs with it and neglected to tell you. Maybe it's just getting old but you mixed it up with a newer one. If you hate wearing those little toilet paper band-aids, go with an electric shaver.
