Shave Like a Pro With Merkur Razor

The Merkur Razor is one of the very few adjustable safety razors that are currently being sold on the market. It seems like the retro style from the 50's and 60's has not only affected the fashion industry but now the Merkur Razor is steadily growing in popularity as well.

The Merkur Razor sets itself apart from other razors is the blade angle which can be adjusted to suit the needs of the shaver. This way, when using it you can opt for a shallow angle if you want a more forgiving shave or you can choose a more aggressive angle for more difficult jobs. But even though the Merkur Razor allows the user to experience, most new users tend to stick to the shallow blade angles. But should someone need to have a more aggressive angle with the blade set off the guard to tackle heavy beards, the option is definitely there.

You will usually find them starting at around $50 and up to $100. The Progress razors, which are the entry level for this brand, are a good way to start for someone who is just getting into this type of razors. Although it isn't anything fancy, the Progress Merkur Razor does its job well and with no frills. As long as you use a good shaving soap and a nice badger hair then you are good to go.

The Futur razor is the next in line and it is a little more expensive than the Progress but it has a more polished look. The top of the line is the Vision razor. It is also the most expensive and it is generally intended for the razor connoisseurs. But for someone who knows what they are buying, it is totally worth every penny.
