Diode Laser Hair Removal for Dark Skinned People

Of the many laser removal options available today, diode laser removal is currently the most popular option. It effectively removes unwanted hair on any part of the body that has smooth skin. However it is more effective in darker skin.

The diode laser that is used in diode removal is a machine made of tiny diodes or semiconductors. These diodes are assembled together to produce light that helps with removal.

Advantages

The advantage of using diode removal to remove excess hair is that it uses a longer wavelength than the Alexandrite and Ruby lasers. This is what gives the laser better removal results in dark-skinned people when compared to the other two lasers used for removal.

It gives safer and deeper skin layer penetration and ensures faster recovery of large areas of the body. In addition to this, it is possible to remove excess hair from large areas like your back and legs in a single treatment. This is thus a great removal for men who want to get rid of all that ugly hair on their chest and back.

However at times, the diode does not give desired results to dark skinned people. It is to people with dark and coarse hair that diode removal is a boon.

Side effects

There are minimal side effects associated with diode removal like some scars, redness, swelling, burns and skin discoloration. Some patients also experience a condition called urticaria which is a skin rash in the form of dark and raised itchy bumps. All this usually happens only if the doctor performing the procedure is not a qualified one.

Diode removal is however not effective for people with white or light. Moreover, its long lasting effects differ in different people. It is thus better to first hold a consultation with your doctor to find out if diode removal will be effective in removing all your unwanted, or if you should consider some other removal option.
